Vision 500 This is where everyone can get involved. You can make a difference and support the Lorain County Mission by pledging a monthly amount to help reduce homelessness, drug, alcohol and other substance abuse and illicit behavior and see people give their lives to Jesus Christ. Donors will receive our newsletter, keeping them current on the latest happening and testimonies of how their money assisted in making a difference in the lives of others. The Mission is always looking to expand its base of financial support. We depend entirely on contributions from the community to continue this work. We have only a few churches who support the Mission financially on a regular and monthly basis and just a handful of committed individuals who are keeping the vision alive. You can help us continue this very important ministry by getting involved today! Become a Vision 500 partner or get your church or organization involved as a Vision 500 partner today. Although every church cannot do the work we are doing, they can all support this work, and thereby, have a part in providing hope for the helpless and hurting heart. Pray and ask God if He would have you be a partner in this ministry that is impacting so many lives and seeing so many give their life to Christ. Each month we have dozens of decisions for Christ. Nothing is so fulfilling than to see God change the lives of people so caught in the snare of the enemy. You Can Make a Difference
Every day, right here in our own community, hundreds of people wonder where they will get their next meal. Many will go all day without food and some will survive on less food than most would eat at one setting. The silent enemy of hunger is alive right here in Lorain County. Many cannot qualify for assistance from Government sponsored programs and are falling between the cracks of social services. As summer slips away and the chill of Fall is in the air, we start to see an influx of homeless persons and families that have been living on the streets, in cars or in small shelters. Our need for support reaches its peak in the winter months when utility bills increase along with the demand for service. |
In the past, the Mission has served more than 50,000 hot meals and provided more than 7,000 nights of stay to area homeless and hurting individuals and families in one year alone. This enemy is identifiable and easily defeated. Jesus was always conscious of the needs of the people as he did His ministry. He began and ended His ministry sessions by ministering to their physical needs. With your help, we can continue the work of our Savior and minister to the needy in our community. Your monetary gift or gift of food will help the Mission continue to conquer this hidden enemy.
